Using as much malted rye as our brewing system could handle, we made something truly unique for Lowertown. While German roggenbier’s (rye beer) are already a rare style to begin with, we decided to make our own rye beer that would be appropriate for the start of patio season. Rich notes of rye bread are noticeable right away with more body to the mouthfeel compared to your average blonde ale. Drink cold, serve fresh, and enjoy the sunshine. Goes well with the Lowertown Poutine, Kettle Chip Nachos, Smoked Meat Sandwich, Warm Garden Pasta, but also a generally good beer to have alongside food.
