Also known as the Lowertown Kriek After a long Winter, it’s finally time to sit on a patio with something refreshing. The Lowertown Cherry Beer is modeled after the Belgian Kriek, a style of beer that uses fresh cherries aged directly with the base beer. Our interpretation is something that shows the sweet and tart character of cherries, but still light and refreshing. As the beer warms, the fruity aromas of cherries, raspberry, strawberry, and Riesling grapes show a bit more. Aroma: Fresh tart cherries, sweet dark cherries, Riesling, citrus zest, honey, fresh baked bread Taste: Similar to aroma. Sweet, tart, cherry, bread dough, mild raspberry & strawberry
