This combination of hops creates a dank, resinous and fruity aroma. Beest is brewed with a huge amount of grain bringing it to a whopping 10% alcohol. Up front flavours of ripe stone fruit and a bitter finish are rounded out with a sweetness to balance its high alcohol and big hop character. 4 months agoWe've been fans of Strange Fellows ever since we tried Poppin Jay in 2020. We would frequent the brewery, which offers both inside and outside seating. Recently the menu has been overhauled and if I had a say in it, I would at least put this place on the Michelin guide. The new menu is phenomenal, with very niche Asian inspired items, every choice is a culinary treat. The service remains friendly and welcoming. I love the etiquette guidelines posted in the brewery. The ambiance remains chill, yet warm and welcoming. Congratulations to the management team for truly elevating the experience. Well done.

3 weeks agoA great Vancouver brewery. No matter what season you visit, they have a great selection of beer and food to enjoy. Merchandise of course rotates, but don't be afraid to ask for something. If you visit, be sure to try a flight of their beers!

4 weeks agoI came for the Halloween season, and the haunted house, and I was surprised by how good it was! I love the atmosphere and how well the haunted house was made. Amazing!

2 months agoListen, the drinks here are great. The merch and design/branding is great. The staff are friendly. The food is admittedly delicious, but the price per portion is askew. After having a couple of $15 dishes that were disappointingly small (putting aside how tasty they were, I would describe them as a handful of broccoli and a cheese bun) we decided to order the baby pretzel party to tide us over - we actually burst out laughing when this $6 handful of Rolled Gold mini pretzels came out. Go here for the beer, absolutely. But if you are hungry - plan to eat somewhere else.

11 months agoNot quite ready for dinner, it was time for a beer. Yelp brought me here and it was a nice stop. I found parking on the street in front as I didn't feel comfortable leaving the van on the side street out of sight. Inside, a calm vibe and I found a seat with a power outlet to charge up the phone and sit for a bit to write a Yelp review or two while sipping a couple of beers. A delicious beer this evening, the Beldame is a perfect German-style Pilsner. Crisp, clean, refreshing. A great beer after a full day of enjoying Vancouver from end to end and more to come.
