This is the bar that Bowness needed - and perhaps might be the best new bar in Calgary. Atmosphere is chill, beer is good and fresh. The Signature Pub Ale is the best ale of it's kind that I've ever tried in Calgary. My girlfriend loves the Bownesian Rhapsody Sour (orange, mango and banana) - and I'm looking forward to drinking it in the summer. The servers do their job well without being too eager to impress (new places are often at fault of this). Solid non-alcoholic options. Kid friendly, too. Straightforward menu, very well priced and enjoyed the food. Great experience, looking forward to coming back.

The BREWSMITH is open!! We have been waiting for a family owned brewery in Bowness and it did not disappoint! Great staff amazing food (menu created by a local business restaurant owner) and great beer ! We had the lobster roll and even joined the MUG CLUB!

I'm only giving 3 stars as I was highly disappointed with the lobster roll. The bartender said that the owners were maritimers (which I also am) and the lobster roll is delicious! So clearly I'm pretty stoked to be getting a maritime lobster roll in Bowness. Much to my disappointment, it wasn't actually lobster meat and I'm not sure what it was but imitation lobster made with pollock is my guess. I guess my assumption was lobster but the description actually says fresh seafood. Which is fair if it's not the real deal. But be aware, this is not an actual lobster roll. Small round bites of imitation meat. As for the brewery itself, it is a nice atmosphere. Board games to play, you can charge your phone and hang your purse underneath the bar, washrooms were clean and service was great.

My local company was hired to make the bench seating for Brewsmith, so of course we had to try it out once they opened. Great drinks with good food to snack on. Clean bathrooms, board games to play, dog treats outside for your 4 legged friends. Staff are always friendly and welcoming. On our way again right now so of course I highly recommend them! Cheers to the Brewsmith staff.

Great addition to the NW. We tried a couple, and since we enjoyed them so much, had to get a flight to sample a few more. We loved the pale ale and dark ale lager. Popcorn went down well too.
