    24 IBU (Subtle Bitterness)
Cornuto is crisp. Cornuto is malty. Cornuto will keep you coming back for more. Volo and True History have a true history together and for this collaboration we decided to embody that as best we could. We brewed a Dunkles Bock (or is it an English Bock?) using an all-English grain and hop bill, pitched a traditional German lager yeast and then gave it a 3 month cold rest. The result is a beautifully rich, malt-forward lager beer that drinks smooth, crisp and refreshing despite its 6.8% strength.

    Kölsch |
    5% Alcohol/Vol. |
    30 IBU (Subtle Bitterness)
Kölsch is traditionally served in a tall, thin glass called a 'Stange', which means 'pole' in German. We call this beer Polo - which is the Italian word for pole - and is an homage to the crisp, refreshing ales of Köln, Germany. A slight pear and apple fruit aroma is present, thanks to the top-fermenting yeast, followed by a clean, dry and mildly bitter herbal hop finish.

Lovely little bar in the alley through St. Joseph Street with a beautiful summer patio. The eggplant sandwich was delicious, as was the chicken milanese (great no carb option), and their meats platter did not disappoint. I especially enjoyed their pickled chillies. Made my evening! You can pick a table and then order at the bar and pay immediately or open a tab. Great for a dinner with friends or a casual first date. It would definitely help to see more their delicious food photos so if you're going there and writing a review, take some pictures and post them for everyone!

I absolutely love this local gem! The atmosphere is amazingcozy yet cool, with a perfect vibe. The Italian-style food is incredibly delicious, and their drinks, especially the beers, are fantastic. I had such a great time grabbing my drink and relaxing on the patio. A perfect spot to unwind!

Cozy little bar hidden in an alleyway of St. Joseph street. Dimmed light and close seats make it very intimate but it was pretty busy even for a weekday night! Great selection of beer and drinks but everything is definitely on the pricier side.

This is a must-visit for beer lovers in Toronto. It should be on your worldwide bucket list of bars! The ambiance transports you through time with its unique Italian-industrial-French twist. Their beer selection is exceptional and hard to find elsewhere in Toronto (except maybe at C'est What or Granite). They are the true ambassadors of cask ale, hosting an annual cask ale festival (a rare find anywhere in the world!). The food is homestyle Italian cuisine - simple yet delicious. When a place pays attention to every detail, you know something special is in store. More than recommended!

Visited several times during my stay in Toronto. This cosy bar and restaurant has an extensive range of beer and cider. Finding a classic, cask conditioned bitter (served in a dimpled tankard) was the high point for me. If the selection is daunting, the friendly, knowledgeable bar staff are on hand to guide you through the dazzling array of taps and hand-pumps, so sit down, enjoy and fill your boots!
