This IPA pushes the boundaries and delivers what you would expect. This aggressively hoped IPA awakens the senses with aromas of citrus, fruit, and pine but will bombard your taste buds (with hops, a subtle malt sweetness and notes of caramel) that will put a smile on your face.

The aroma of a tropical breeze from a fresh mango grove leads into a light bodied blonde ale, finishing with a subtle mango sweetness that does not overpower the golden malt.

A monstrous blend of fruit-forward hops is balanced out with golden malt, wheat and oats. Forget the bitter aftertaste – this New England Style IPA is smooth, citrusy ray of tropical sunshine in an otherwise chaotic world.

Fireside Flannel is a unique brown ale crafted with roasted malts and Yakima hops. Notes of roasted hazelnuts, coffee and light chocolate combine as the beer warms —  and on a crisp fall day, there’s just enough alcohol to keep you warm as well. Pairs well with cheese platters and braised meats, along with desserts including ice cream and chocolate.

Lift Bridge’s Warden Milk Stout clocks in at 4.1% ABV and pours a deep black with a thin, whitish-tan head that quickly dissipates. Aromas of coffee with hints of smoke greet the nose, and the beer’s flavors include a complementary combination of sweet and savory in the forms of chocolate and roasted malt. At 23 IBU, there’s a trace of earthy hop bitterness on the backend. The mouthfeel is silky smooth and the unfermentable sugar from the lactose leaves the sweetness on the palate that you’d expect from a milk stout.

Mini-Donut Beer has a warm tan color, like the exterior of a mini donut. A malty base and natural flavors give this sweet sipper enough rich flavor without overwhelming the palate. Mini-Donut will be served in a glass rimmed with cinnamon and sugar.

We drew inspiration from Steve’s Grandmother’s holiday biscotti recipe to create this one of a kind brew. By utilizing an array of malts, oats, wheat, pure local honey, light European hops and delicately spicing with Grains of Paradise, Madagascar vanilla beans, whole star anise, all brought together with traditional Belgian yeast, the result is a cloudy, deep copper colored, complex experience. This delight to the senses should be served in a 12 ounce footed glass and allowed to warm to 50 degrees to fully gather the malt and spice spectrum.

Our ode to the lumberjacks who helped settle the St. Croix Valley is a well-balanced beer that's refreshing anytime of day. The hop character and aroma are accentuated by multiple additions of Cascade varietal and a dry hop with Amarillo and Citra.

Seylynn, in her sweet 50's - 70's retro double ponies headscarf Grateful Dead T-shirt vibe, made this brewery feel like a Cheers/Regal Beagle/Rosie's Bar/McLaren's Pub "you are home now" kind of place. I'm not a drinker, I'm DEFINITELY not a beer drinker, but this is one of my kids' favourite places so of COURSE I wanted to check it out when I popped into Van to visit. They've wine for non-beer drinkers, even a few non-alcoholic options for the non-drinkers (craft soda, kombucha, water). Their tacos were to die for (I had the shredded smoked shoulder pork with mango), as were the Chicharron snacks (the dogs concur ... Oh yeah ... PET FRIENDLY patio! THAT should have been TOP of the list!) My daughter had their Hefeweizen and her husband their Hikes Pale Ale. Hardcore beer connoisseurs (after traveling the world and our own country here at home sampling for a few years), for them to land on THIS brewery and these choices is a 5 star review all on its own. The kids are also vegans, my son-in-law practicing vegan for health primarily (but not opposed to meat), my daughter hard core vegan. Though they were out of vegetarian options last night in particular (vegetarian options, I should clarify, not vegan options), I'm told by my daughter that they normally have vegetarian tacos and they're quite exemplary. The atmosphere!!!! Everybody either knew everybody and hugged and cheered their day out ... or GOT to know everybody. It was home, whether your first time there or your hundredth. Yet, simultaneously, very respectful crowd. If you just wanted to drop in, grab a craft beer and a table to sit with your book, have at 'er! Definitely a no judgement place! It's sunny, it's Monday, you've gotta have a beer! This place has top notch selection of beer. I liked everything I tried but my favorite was get to the choppa!

We visited Bridge Brewing on Saturday October 19. Had some German guests, and they wanted to try some breweries (and flights). Bridge was first of three. Our German friends got flights, I had a Get to the Choppa, and my wife tried a cider. All was great, everybody found something they liked. Unfort, my wife dropped her wallet onto the floor without her noticing. Four hours later, on our way home, we discovered the missing wallet. As it had no air-tag, we had no idea where it might be. So the next morning, I planned to head back to the same three breweries in the same order as the previous night to ask if the wallet had been found and turned in. The staff at Bridge Brewing had found it, tucked it away, and returned it to me the next day, everything intact. What an awesome group of humans. Love the vibe in the place as well. Will be our go-to for breweries.

I have enjoyed their beers for years. Even though I've moved away I still make a point to get in when visiting North Vancouver. All their beers are great, but especially the stout. My favourite from the north shore options.
