    Lager - Vienna |
    5.1% Alcohol/Vol. |
    20 IBU (Subtle Bitterness)
This style of Amber Lager hails from Vienna, Austria and first gained notoriety for its smooth, malt-forward flavours. Our Red is brewed with a generous dose of caramel malt which adds a touch of sweetness and complexity to the beer. There is a deep biscuity aroma. At first taste, you will notice the robust rye bread, toast and caramel flavours. These notes are then followed by a slightly bitter hop flavour and long, crisp finish. Incredibly balanced, this lager can be enjoyed by both ale and lager drinkers.

    Kellerbier / Zwickelbier |
    5% Alcohol/Vol. |
    20 IBU (Subtle Bitterness)
Our Kellerbier is crafted for the locals of Port Perry. The beer pours a pale, opaque gold with soft flavours such as freshly baked white bread. Brewed just like our Helles, our Hazy Blonde is left unfiltered, creating a small but shocking difference between the two. By leaving the yeast, the beer has a touch more body without sacrificing the smooth finish. Our Hazy Blonde is best enjoyed fresh as possible, making it a must try when visiting the brewery, in Port Perry, Ontario. Drink it fresh! Don’t be concerned if you find some sediment in your can or bottle, it is just a sign of the fresh, unfiltered brewing process. Awards: Canadian Brewing Awards 2018 – Bronze – Kellerbier

    Lager - Munich Dunkel |
    4.8% Alcohol/Vol. |
    22 IBU (Subtle Bitterness)
Much like our blonde, this beer originated in Munich, Bavaria. This dark, malt forward beer is popular due to the nutty and toast-like flavours. Made with a blend of seven different malts, our Old Flame Brunette has enhanced the flavours that the style is famous for. These flavours are then followed by a slight bitter hop flavour and long, dry finish.

Perry Loved Mary… to the bitter end. But Mary loved another. This beer is our interpretation of a West Coast Style IPA, making it very bitter, much like Perry from his unrequited love. Perry Loved Mary IPA pours a clear, copper-orange hue, with a fluffy white head. The aroma and flavour are dominated with bold flavours such as pine, citrus and passionfruit. The finish is long, bitter, and dry. This beer serves as inspiration for the incredibly successful musical, Perry Loved Mary, that takes place annually at the brewery. Noah MacDougall, the show’s composer and lyricist, and Luc Trottier, who wrote the book and additional lyrics, were commisioned to create a live performance celebrating the beers of Old Flame and town of Port Perry. The result is a side-splitting musical following the main character Perry and his search for love. This show is a must-see and absolutely an experience worth remembering.

    Lager - Helles |
    5% Alcohol/Vol. |
    20 IBU (Subtle Bitterness)
Helles lager is a traditional lager style which originated in Munich in the 1800’s. It was developed to meet the growing demand of the lighter coloured beers of bohemia which at that time were gaining popularity. Today, this light, refreshing lager is still very popular in Bavaria and around the world. Old Flame Brewing Co.’s Blonde is tailored to suit the craft beer drinker with a roundness that is clean and intense. The medium malt body showcases the bread and dry malt flavours and the long conditioning time ensures a nice smooth finish.

Building on our portfolio of award-winning lagers, we decided to expand the roster by brewing a new seasonal Black Lager, Raven. This espresso coloured brew gives off a melody of aromas such as dark chocolate, toffee and molasses. Raven has all the dark flavours of a stout, without the heavy body. There are a ton of roasted flavours, with notes of espresso bean and a touch of burnt toast near the end.

Perry broke Mary's heart! So he's in trouble because you don't want to mess with ... Scary Mary! With a pillowy white head, this makes for a beautifully laced glass. It is slightly cloudy, with a sharp tangerine colour. Coming in 8%, this is a very strong beer. Despite being a Double IPA it is bold, yet smooth, and finishes with a lingering bitterness. Prominent flavours include resiny pine notes, grapefruit and orange zest.

This Vanilla Porter has a warm, milk chocolate colour with a creamy head. It has a delicate aroma of vanilla bean and also a hint of cocoa. This beer has a surprisingly light body. The notes of vanilla manifest at the end, adding just the right amount of sweetness. The vanilla is balanced by subtle roasted flavours. The cocoa from the aroma also comes through when tasting.

Pouring a stunning violet shade, this brew embodies summer. It is tart, yet very refreshing, and finishes just a touch sweet. The flavour that this brew packs is reminiscent of wild blueberries. As one of the most anticipated beers of the summer, get the second batch while you can!

Despite looking black when poured, if held up to the light, Black Willow has the colour of a dark maple syrup with a tan head. This Maple Walnut Stout has a very robust aroma. There are strong roasted flavours amplified by the walnuts that were toasted in-house. There is a touch of bitterness that lingers but it is balanced by the sweetness of the maple syrup. This sweetness helps this dark beer not be too heavy and very approachable. There are hints of dark chocolate and dark roast coffee. Pair with cool nights and falling leaves.

Our Pumpkin Spice Lager is inspired by the marriage of spices that make that slice of pumpkin pie at Thanksgiving dinner so irresistible. Witchy Woman is a slightly hazy, saffron orange colour with a strong herbal and spicy aroma. There is a very subtle taste of pumpkin, with more forward flavours of nutmeg, cinnamon, clove and star anise. This brew differs from most pumpkin beers since it is a lager, making it light and very smooth. Even if you are typically not a fan of pumpkin-inspired beers, this is a very different take on the style and definitely a must-try!

Psychedelic Sunday is a Light Blonde Ale with a fruity infusion! It has a refreshing candy-sweet aroma, similar to fuzzy peaches! However, once you take a sip, you realize that it is not overly sweet, and quite refreshing. Notes of tart oranges, with sweet peaches and apricots are prominent. The fruity flavours are balanced with a new addition this year… vanilla! The vanilla gives this beer a slightly heavier mouthfeel, but it is still the perfect thirst-quenching beer.

Over the Thanksgiving long weekend, my husband and I had our wedding reception at Old Flame Brewing Co. They hadn't hosted a formal wedding reception before, but Ariana was excited for the new adventure (had previous experience in a wedding-related field) and was a consistent presence of knowledge, suggestions, and encouragement The team at Old Flame Brewing Co. supplied a bartender, couches, chairs, and tables for our event. It was wonderful having the flexibility of choosing an open bar or a cash bar. With a reception of 70-80 guests, we rented a few additional tables and chairs, as well as linens through a third-party. Old Flame Brewing Co. assisted with moving furniture prior to our arrival and were eager to sneak upstairs (where our reception was held) to check our decorating progress the night prior and share our excitement! There were stocked women's and men's restrooms upstairs for use throughout the event and a separate entrance for guests. These were much appreciated. If you're able to bring your own decorations and food, this is definitely going to be a wonderful contender when searching for your wedding reception location! As a business that hasn't done a full wedding reception before, there were a couple of miscommunications and additional times we needed to collaborate to discuss details we hadn't thought of previously. We're grateful for their quick responses to any questions we had, as well as for hearing any concerns or thoughts we brought up over the many months of planning together We really hope they consider hosting more wedding receptions and blessing more couples with their unique space!

Stopped by on Saturday afternoon. Great craft brewery with live music. Service was excellent. They had food vendor cooking up sausages and hot dogs. Definitely will be back.

Old Flame has some darn fine beers on tap. They have their core 4, for which I would opt for the Hazy Blonde. They also had one called Patio Season and it was quite tasty, and very aptly named because if it was patio weather on the day I visited (but it wasn't) I would've enjoyed another pint outside. There's no kitchen at Old Flame, but snacks are there if you fancy chips. Inside also offers a decent amount of seats, but I can see it getting very busy on cold/rainy nights. You will have to find parking on the street as I don't remember there being a dedicated parking lot.

Cozy beer place in Historic Newmarket Downtown. I like this place, they have good locally crafted beer with perfect taste. I can imagine how good it has to be in summer, when they have these big windows open. They have great choice of beers and friendly staff.

Made a pit spot at Newmarket old town and had really nice beer at this spot, friendly staff, food options are limited but staff encouraged us to order or bring food from the outside which is kind. Beer is good, only knew the lagers that were more available in lcbo, their witbier is great! Also had the luck to listen to live music, great spot.
