    55 IBU (Robust Bitterness)
This balanced India Pale Ale hits with big aromas of juicy pineapple, tangerine and evergreen boughs. Kölsch |

This easy-drinking beer is clean, crisp and refreshing. It has a light malt sweetness, with a balanced hop bitterness from German noble hops. A clear, straw to light gold in colour with a lovely white head. Unfiltered for a smooth, full flavour, with a light body and a dry finish.

    Porter - American |
    5% Alcohol/Vol. |
    30 IBU (Subtle Bitterness)
Metropolitan Porter is filled with chocolate flavour, finishing with a smooth coffee-like roast. Dark in colour, but light in body. Using traditional English malts, and North American hops for bittering, we wanted to showcase a balance between malty-sweet and roasted bitterness. We can agree, this is a chocolate lovers dream!
Inaugural Batch: Friday, September 8, 2017
  •  3.5 on Untappd.
    IPA - American |
    6.5% Alcohol/Vol. |
    60 IBU (Robust Bitterness)
We're finding ourselves saying the phrase "Given the Circumstances" a lot lately. For this classic IPA we used all Canadian malt, including BC Dark Munich Malt for a touch of copper colour. West Coast "C" hops Cascade, Centennial, and Columbus give an assertive grapefruit and piney bitterness.
Inaugural Batch: Friday, May 8, 2020
  •  3.4 on Untappd.
    Blonde / Golden Ale - Other |
    4.1% Alcohol/Vol. |
    34 IBU (Subtle Bitterness)
A light and sessionable ale, not holding back on flavour or body. Malt forward, with notes of honey and freshly baked bread. This British Golden Ale is balanced by a firm supporting hop bitterness. English malt flavour and a medium body make this golden ale delicious and thirst quenching. Wheat Beer - Witbier / Blanche |
    4.5% Alcohol/Vol. |
    21 IBU (Subtle Bitterness)
This light, refreshing Belgian Wheat Ale brings notes of citrus on top of a dry backbone, lightened by the use of wheat in the grain bill. Belgian yeast gives a complex aroma, and flaked wheat gives a slight haze. Complex but subtle orange and spice aroma and flavour come from Indian Coriander Seed and Bitter Orange Peel.

  •  3.6 on Untappd.
    IPA - White / Wheat |
    6.2% Alcohol/Vol. |
    50 IBU (Robust Bitterness)
We do know that white crayons aren't actually useless, but on white paper, it sure seems like it. But what's a white IPA? It's like a mashup of a Belgian Wit and an American IPA. The malt bill has loads of Flaked Wheat and Oats to make it soft and cloudy. Dry hopped with Amarillo and Mandarina Bavaria, citrus notes abound, aided by additions of Indian Coriander Seeds and Dried Orange Peel.

Four hops meet on the street to settle their differences. On one side, classic “C” hops Cascade and Columbus give grapefruit bitterness with a bit of pine. On the other side of Leslie Street, dry hopping with new school Mosaic and Hallertau Blanc hops lend notes of peach, berry, and white wine.

To coincide with the return of Market Bingo we're releasing a new beer too. A fresh, crisp new brew that will surely get you dabbing those cards all night! Introducing: Goliath Cold Pale Ale! A cold pale ale is a balance between a lager and a pale ale. We ferment this pale ale colder for a crisper finish, and dry hop for citrus, apricot, and floral notes. We then use a cold lagering process to further clean this winner up.

    Festbier |
    6.5% Alcohol/Vol. |
    27 IBU (Subtle Bitterness)
The German word "stein" means stone. English speakers misuse this term to refer to the 1L glass mug that is ubiquitous at Oktoberfest. Sticklers for accuracy, we have named our Festbier after the German term for this vessel: Maßkrug (say mahss-kruhg). Pouring a deep gold with pillowy, off-white head, expect this special edition lager to have a delicate aroma of black pepper and freshly baked biscuits. Toasty malt character is balanced with a round hop bitterness to keep your palate from fatiguing when consuming this beer by the maßkrug.
Inaugural Batch: Wednesday, September 20, 2017
  •  3.5 on Untappd.
    Lager - American Light |
    3.5% Alcohol/Vol. |
    20 IBU (Subtle Bitterness)
Sessionable, crushable, quaffable. Whatever you want to call it, this beer is easy-drinking. Clean and crisp and light, but smooth and full of flavour. German Pilsner malt and German Hallertau hops give a classic, uncompromising taste.

    Red Ale - Other |
    5.5% Alcohol/Vol. |
    35 IBU (Gentle Bitterness)
The Matthew of Bristol was the first ship across the Atlantic to the aptly named “New found land”. We honour this voyage with our Red Ale. Comprised of mostly English malts, a splash of Canadian barley adds to the deep, rich malt profile. Toffee, caramel, and raisin notes are balanced by a refined bitterness.
Inaugural Batch: Friday, December 20, 2019
  •  3.7 on Untappd.
    Stout - Milk / Sweet |
    5% Alcohol/Vol. |
    15 IBU (Subtle Bitterness)
For this award-winning brew, we took 150 cinnamon rolls from Sweet B's Bakery, and 5kg of Ethiopian coffee freshly roasted by My Indie Coffee, and incorporated them into this Breakfast Stout. The cinnamon and coffee come through in both the flavour and aroma. They compliment the roasted malt, which gives decadent notes of dark chocolate. The oats in the mash and the lactose in the boil smooth and balance the rich roasted character. CONTAINS: DAIRY
Inaugural Batch: Wednesday, January 23, 2019
  •  3.1 on Untappd.

This crisp, clean beer is our first experiment with Kveik Yeast. This yeast has been passed down through generations of Norwegian brewers. It ferments warmer and faster, producing a bit of fruity apricot and citrus notes. A clean malt base and light hopping let the yeast shine in this crushable beer. CONTAINS: WHEAT

We brewed this light, hazy, sour ale with Himalayan Pink Salt and Indian Coriander Seed. The Coriander gives a citrus note to the fruity sour tartness. The salt smooths out the mouthfeel, accompanying the German wheat base. Don't drop the gloves on this sour, it will punch you in the mouth. CONTAINS: DAIRY, WHEAT

Market is a lovely brewery in Newmarket. There's lots of space inside and out, so large groups can be easily accomdated for. But I would probably check ahead for reservations. There is lots of beer on tap, with different varieties to suit all tastes. They also have hard seltzers for those who do not wish to have beer. I would say Bear Hug was my personal choice, but I wasn't upset with any choice. Sam was our server and she was great. Very friendly and attentive and it was busy on the Sunday I was there but she never a beat. No food on hand apart from snacks. Lots of outside parking in their lot, which is nice.

Market Brewery holds a special place in my heart as me and my now husband got married here! Since our second date we like visiting this place. The team is very welcoming and the atmosphere is pleasant. Bill, Piers and Sam were extremely helpful and easy to work with. Our special day went smoothly and was stress free. I recommend reaching out to them for your next event. You won't regret it!

Great beer, and great people! These folks are big supporters of their community. They hold several great events throughout the year, and they're all pet friendly. They truly feel like part of the community, and not just another corporation trying to take money from it. They care, and it shows in everything they do. My family are big fans, including our pups!

We recently got married in August and held both our ceremony and reception at Market Brewing. From start to finish they were so helpful, easy going and all around just fantastic! Market brewing was the first space we had in mind for our medium sized wedding (120 people). We truly felt like the staff were celebrating with us all the while helping everything run smoothly. The space is great because it's a blank canvas and super versatile which is perfect for any style of wedding you're looking for. We have no regrets and beautiful memories! Thanks a million guys!

I had the absolute pleasure of being married and holding both the ceremony and reception at Market Brewing. The venue has always held a special spot in the hearts of myself and my husband, and it is even more special to us now. All of our guests were in love with the venue, and Bill and Katie did a fantastic job serving everyone in a timely manner. Bill was excellent at communicating in the months leading up, setting up meetings and making sure that no question was left unanswered. We are so grateful to him and the entire Market Brewing crew for their amazing professionalism. We would recommend Market Brewing as a location choice for any major event, but most definitely for a wedding. We couldn't be happier, cheers to the whole crew!
