6 months agoThere are a lot of good, some great, breweries in the GTA. To me, MERIT is the best of the best. They offer some more traditional tasting beers, but what I really love about them, is their experimental wine & beerbeers. Absolutely fantastic stuff, unlike anything I've had before. And, what really tips them over the edge for me, is their food selection. While most other breweries offer a sad bag of chips, or the weekend food truck, the food selection at MERIT is genuinely top tier. If you're looking for the best beer in Hamilton, or the GTA, look no further than MERIT.

5 months agoI am so surprised that Merit only has a 3.6/5 rating on here - it deserves a 5/5. The atmosphere is fantastic, the people working are so nice and their food and beer are incredible. We discovered it about a month ago and have come 4 times since. The fries and all the dip options are so good (we recommend the curry dip), and the sausages are so unique and tasty. We came back for Mother's Day on their anniversary weekend and they were giving away merch which was awesome too! We will be back lots!

a month agoBeer is always excellent, and the food is genuinely inspired! Hadn't been in a few years and if anything it's only gotten better with time.

6 months agoGood place to try tap beers. Although it's kind of self buying and no beer service at tables. It's a must go if you're looking for a relaxing conversation with close friends. Not for romantics and dates I would say.
