    50 IBU (Robust Bitterness)
For this year’s International Women’s Day brew, we are collaborating with XHale Brew Co to create our own take on a very new style, the “Cold IPA”, which is sweeping across the USA but has yet to make its mark on Alberta. This mixed style combines aspects of both a European Lager and a West Coast IPA to create a very unique brew that is light in colour, crisp in finish, and heavy on hops. What better way to showcase this year’s Pink Boots hop blend? Our annual Pink Boots Brew is used to re-establish the conversation around women empowerment and inclusion in the brewing industry and we’ve teamed up with XHale Brew Co to help expand our reach with this important message.

    Sour - Berliner Weisse |
    3.3% Alcohol/Vol. |
    7 IBU (Trace Bitterness)
A hazy, tart and crackery Kettle Sour with a hint of lemon. Try this traditional sour on its own or with our house made fruit syrups! A modern take on German Berliner-weisse with a tart acidity and surprising level of flavour and body for such a low alcohol beer, with plenty of malty, husky grain flavour and a pale yellow colour with some haze. Originally called Kettle Sour #2, Jumpingpound is the basis for nearly all of our Barrel-Aged Sour and Barrel-Aged Fruited Sour beers. We are bringing this classic back in its unadulterated form with a fancy new name, emphasizing the importance of the connection to nature and the versatility of this product that has been around all along, but quietly in the background.

This fruited kettle sour was first created last summer to celebrate Pride Week and due to extremely popular demand, it has returned in even more glorious fashion! We took our Jumpingpound Kettle Sour and refermented it over 90 pounds of blueberry puree before adding a hint of lemon zest and vanilla to create an extremely approachable sour beer. Bursting with fruity citrus and berry notes paired with a delicately tart and full mouthfeel, this beer is sure to surprise many and blow away preconceived notions towards sour beers.

    Sour - Fruited Gose |
    3.5% Alcohol/Vol. |
    7 IBU (Trace Bitterness)
In Collaboration with Rising Tides Taproom, XHale Brew Co., and Wild Winds Brewery, we created this fruity, lightly tart beer in celebration of what ties us together. As women-owned businesses in an industry that still shows symptoms of institutional sexism, we try to break the mold and show our customers what an inclusive environment looks like. Utilizing the limited edition Pink Boots Malt in support of the Pink Boots Society, this gose (pronounced GO-zuh) also features acidulated malt and sea salt. It was fruited with prickly pear - a desert cactus which produces fruit reminiscent of kiwi, with a hint of bubblegum. It grows natively in dry, arid climates such as Mexico, the Caribbean, and Palestine.

    Belgian Dubbel |
    6% Alcohol/Vol. |
    20 IBU (Subtle Bitterness)
This Belgian-inspired brown ale utilizes specialty malts such as Special B and Melanoidin to create a malt forward brew with flavours of caramel, burnt sugar, and dark fruit that is rounded out nicely with clove and pepper flavours from Belgian yeast phenolics and a floral hop character that leaves a lingering, moreish finish. A highly-attenuated beer that is medium bodied and dry on the palate, Dubbel Trubbel is easy-drinking and complex all at once.

    Stout - Imperial / Double |
    10.4% Alcohol/Vol. |
    77 IBU (Intense Bitterness)
A blend of 15-month bourbon barrel-aged and 3-month stainless-aged imperial stouts, further bottle-aged for 2.5 years. A deceptively smooth, full-bodied drinking experience without the sharpness of younger examples. Named for the atmospheric phenomenon that was originally coined in Alberta; Strong Thermal Emission Velocity Enhancement (S.T.E.V.E. for short), which appears as a ribbon of light across the sky. From its Aurora-watching inspiration, this barrel-aged imperial stout’s name represents a long process of studying and the amazing discoveries happening right here in Alberta in the sky and in brewery barrels. This big beautiful beer showcases what some patience and childlike wonder will do.

    Porter - Imperial / Double Baltic |
    10.3% Alcohol/Vol. |
    36 IBU (Gentle Bitterness)
We took Desperate Times, our unique take on a Baltic Porter, the 100th batch of beer brewed at Prairie Dog Brewing and aged it for 5 months in Tennessee Whiskey barrels, bringing bold yet smooth whiskey characteristics to an already rich and delicious beer. The malty sweet chocolate and light roastiness serve to introduce the warming backbone of its 10.3% ABV. Lagered and barrel-aged, this beer is smooth and crisp, yet full bodied and deceptively easy drinking for its alcohol content.

    Porter - Imperial / Double Baltic |
    10.3% Alcohol/Vol. |
    36 IBU (Gentle Bitterness)
We took Desperate Times, our unique take on a Baltic Porter and aged it in a single barrel that once held California Zinfandel (2018 vintage), bringing mellow dark fruit, vanilla, and toast undertones to an already rich and delicious porter. Lagered and barrel-aged, this beer is smooth and crisp, yet full bodied and deceptively easy drinking for its alcohol content. At over 10%, this beer brings a fair amount of alcoholic heat that is beautifully balanced and mellowed from its extended barrel-aging time of 1 year. The resulting flavours resemble that of a glass of sherry or port with plenty of oak, vanilla, toast, and dark fruit notes.

We tried this place out on a date night! We ran into some accessibility issues right off the bat. There didn't appear to be any handicap spots but possible they were just painted on concrete and covered by cars. Pushing a wheelchair into the building was not easy as they don't have an automatic door opening button and the double doors didn't help anything. I don't think someone arriving in a wheelchair themselves would be able to get in. The greeter was super friendly when we arrived early on a Friday. We had to wait a few minutes to get seated he mentioned they were just prepping the table. Our waitress came and started her introduction stating that she's done in 20 minutes. She took our drink orders but we couldn't get our food order in as she seemed to be avoiding the table. Eventually when the drinks were dropped off we got our order in. We were sad to learn that the burnt ends were out at that point (would have been nice to be told when we sat down). We shared the pretzel bits, pork belly fries, brisket and chorizo sausage. The pretzel bits were airy and tasted good but could have used more salt. We both didn't love the bland cheese sauce that came with it. The pork belly fries were AMAZING, probably the best pork belly I've had, crispy on the outside and moist inside. The brisket was good and the chorizo sausage was just OK. Getting a refill on my pop was hard as the original waitress left and nobody came to check in on our food or drinks. I just ended up asking employees as they walked by. We're not big beer drinkers but the You're Beautiful caught my wife's attention and she liked that she could order a small serving. She liked it and reminded her of a kombucha. Conveniently as we finished eating someone came over and warmly asked us if we wanted dessert or the bill. We had mixed impressions of the food here but showed some potential. Being ignored the entire time by staff until the bill came will mean we pursue our BBQ elsewhere. The accessibility issues in 2025 are unacceptable.

Fantastic! Ordered for the first time through skip. Yet some items were not available. I got a call from the restaurant before skip. And they offered replacements. One substitute offered was the most delicious thing ever. A new favourite. Must Eat the Pork belly Fries!!! Great Service! Hope to eat in person next time!

A really nice spot, and the food is excellent. We have had BBQ in most of the Southern US states and around Calgary recently, and the brisket was definitely one of the best. It was not overly smoked but packed with BBQ flavour - the perfect balance. Great service and atmosphere, too, with pool tables also available.

Had been in a couple times in the past for some beers but had never eaten there. Knew about the BBQ and heard good things! Do not sleep on this place! The food was fantastic, all aspects, everything we had was good, smoked chicken wings, pastrami bites, brisket sandwich all well seasoned, perfectly cooked and delicious. Their beers are fresh and innovative. If you are in Calgary check this place out!
