    56 IBU (Robust Bitterness)
Highlighted by the classic citrus character of cascade hops. This IPA has a complex flavour that takes influence from several international IPA styles. Well balanced notes that are piney, spicy, floral, earthy, and citrus will come from the hops accompanied by biscuit, bread, and mild chocolate notes from the malt. Enjoy with a variety of barbecued fare, spicy foods, or any food that needs a robust beer to stack up to.

    Stout - Irish Dry |
    5% Alcohol/Vol. |
    28 IBU (Subtle Bitterness)
A smooth & creamy, nitrogen infused stout. Rich malty flavours backed up by a dry finish. If you’re looking for a complex yet well-balance stout, look no further. The Lowertown Sapper's Stout strays a bit away from the standard Irish Dry Stout and takes influence from Oatmeal Stouts, American Stouts, and other international stout styles. Robust notes of coffee, chocolate, and malt make this a stout fan’s dream. For those who have never tried a stout before, they may be pleasantly surprised with how smooth and creamy a beer can be. Don’t knock it ‘till you rock it! Pairs well with beef (steaks and briskets), lamb, burgers, Irish stew, roast potatoes, and chocolate-based desserts.

A refreshing, thirst-quenching, kettle-soured ale with fresh peaches added. We’ve added a special blend of lactobacillus cultures to give this beer a pronounced sour character that is balanced out by the sweet flavour of peaches, honey, and bread dough. Enjoy cold and have as a refreshing beer on a hot summer day or let it warm to bring out a pronounced peach aroma and other subtleties. Pair with the Lowertown Smoked Cauliflower Fritters, the Dirty Bird sandwich, Field the Beets salad, the Summer Berry Cheesecake dessert jar, or a patio with some sun.

Also known as the Lowertown A.B.E.L. Hop heads rejoice! This is Lowertown’s first beer using Vermont Ale yeast and it’s a big one. We’ve come up with a full-bodied, smooth beer that’s loaded with flavour from a special blend of American hops. Abundantly fruity with some floral and herbal notes to round it out, this New England style Pale Ale is complex and will continue to develop different aromas as it warms in your glass. Pair with citrussy vinaigrettes, sweet mustards, curries, roast chicken, and smoked meat.

    23 IBU (Subtle Bitterness)
Also known as the Lowertown Grätzer. Made with a grain bill of 100% oak smoked wheat malt. We’re bringing in another traditional beer style originating from Grodzisk, Poland. Sometimes referred to as “Polish Champagne”, this style is a dry, non-filtered, highly-carbonated session beer highlighting the flavour from the oak smoked malt. Pairs excellent with seafood. Can be used for cocktails (think of it like an oak smoked club soda).

    Belgian Dubbel |
    6.3% Alcohol/Vol. |
    18 IBU (Subtle Bitterness)
Also known as the Winter Skate Ale. The perfect Winter companion. The Lowertown Dubbel is a formidable, strong, complex beer that is modeled after Western-European monastery beers known as “Dubbels”. A deep ruby red in colour with a creamy off-white head. Rich malty, dried fruit flavours and will finish with a smooth, warming texture. As mentioned in the serving notes, take your time drinking this as more of the rich, complex notes will become present as the beer warms. Makes an ideal after-dinner drink or will pair well with beef stew and carbonnade, wild game, brisket, or Lowertown’s Kale & Seed salad and Hickory-Smoked Chicken Wings. À la Belge!

    Fruit Beer |

    8 IBU (Trace Bitterness)
Also known as the Lowertown Kriek After a long Winter, it’s finally time to sit on a patio with something refreshing. The Lowertown Cherry Beer is modeled after the Belgian Kriek, a style of beer that uses fresh cherries aged directly with the base beer. Our interpretation is something that shows the sweet and tart character of cherries, but still light and refreshing. As the beer warms, the fruity aromas of cherries, raspberry, strawberry, and Riesling grapes show a bit more. Aroma: Fresh tart cherries, sweet dark cherries, Riesling, citrus zest, honey, fresh baked bread Taste: Similar to aroma. Sweet, tart, cherry, bread dough, mild raspberry & strawberry

Using as much malted rye as our brewing system could handle, we made something truly unique for Lowertown. While German roggenbier’s (rye beer) are already a rare style to begin with, we decided to make our own rye beer that would be appropriate for the start of patio season. Rich notes of rye bread are noticeable right away with more body to the mouthfeel compared to your average blonde ale. Drink cold, serve fresh, and enjoy the sunshine. Goes well with the Lowertown Poutine, Kettle Chip Nachos, Smoked Meat Sandwich, Warm Garden Pasta, but also a generally good beer to have alongside food.

The beers are good, small selection but something for everyone. The food is hit or miss, the pulled pork sandwich and kettle chips were great but their brisket sandwich was very small and bland, also fatty so not great cuts of meat. The server never came to take our dirty dishes off the table. We requested a booth in the reservation notes and were not given oneOn a Monday night so not overly busy. Overall not the best experience.

Lowertown Brewery: A Fun, Family-Friendly Spot with a Few Hiccups Lowertown Brewery is a lively spot with a lot to offer. The atmosphere is fun and inviting, making it a great place to gather with friends and family. The arcade games and occasional mechanical bull add an extra layer of entertainment, especially for kids. The spacious layout accommodates larger groups, ensuring everyone has room to move around. This place is not dog friendly and I wouldn't recommend it for folks with mobility issues because the bathrooms are accessed down two flights of stairs in the basement. While the food and drink selection is impressive, with a variety of craft beers and cocktails, including non-alcoholic options and even espresso martinis on tap, there's a notable downside: the cleanliness of the women's restroom. The limited number of usable stalls and unsanitary conditions were quite disappointing. While the staff seemed friendly enough, there was a noticeable lack of attention to detail in maintaining the restroom facilities. It's a shame that such a basic amenity could detract from the overall experience. Overall, Lowertown Brewery is a fun place to spend an evening, but it's important to manage expectations.

Went for a quick beer and nachos and was not disappointed. Great atmosphere! We tried the red and gold beer which were both amazing. Nachos were wonderful.

I had the double jalapeno cheese burger. The patties were juicy, well-seasoned, crisp romaine lettuce, tomatoe, and fresh pickles. Not pictured: the house, hazy IPA was citrusy, with just the right hop goodness to make it crushable. The service was prompt, friendly, and on the ball. So, definitely going back.
