Our first anniversary beer, Aion, represents unbounded time and eternity. Each year we’ll be partnering with a different artist for the artwork and this year we reached out to @mothergrime, who put her signature drip spin on our logo. Over the course of our first year, an oak foeder in our cellar earned the name Aion. Aion is a predecessor for multiple releases and blends - past, present, and future - and has evolved into an entity of its own. This unadulterated foeder ale is a culmination of our house cultures developing over the year - providing a unique harmony of acidity, aged complexity, and funk.

Brewed by: Ian Ennis An Irish red ale brewed simple and balanced, hopped lightly with cascade in the kettle and then fermented with a neutral ale yeast. Once fermentation and maturation were complete we then worked alongside our roastery to cold steep our HoF roasted coffee and blend in our cold brew concentrate. A beautiful red ale that boasts the best of both halves that make up House of Funk. Beautiful nutty, roasted coffee aroma followed by a toffee malt and a finish slightly on the sweeter side. Sláinte.

Exceptional coffee and lots of seating. This is one of my favourites for a hot coffee on a cold ride. Highly recommend. They also have lots of alcoholic beverages but I stick to the exceptional coffee.

Very trendy designed interior and branding, we sampled a beer and dim sum deal which was great value for money as the prawn and pork dumplings were out of this world. The only reason for four stars is the beer choice seemed to predominately sours at the time, there may have been more but the server seemed impatient at us deciding. The two we tried were definitely interesting

House of Funk has some of the best beers and my absolute favourite coffee! I have never disliked something I have had here and I miss the Debauchery milk stout that they used to have a couple years ago. That was a really fun one.

A must go to whenever I'm in Vancouver! Have always loved House of Funk, dog friendly patio, good food and great beer! Not sure how long they're doing dim sum for but so glad I visited them a couple months ago. A decent selection of dim sum to try and it went perfectly with their beer! Matt's pork belly dumplings are always a hit! Can't wait to see what they're cookin' up next time I'm in town!

Great spot for interesting beers that aren't the usual and boring stuff. Very good barrel aged ones, though it's a shame they didn't have anything super tart like we like when we were there. The cucumber gose was very solid, light and refreshing.
