Brasserie Harricana

Lovely Montral find for craft brews that breaks free of the typical industrial-bro-chic vibe found in many small breweries. It's light and warm, an aesthetic somewhere in between diner and European bistro. My husband & I each enjoyed a bock-worth of beer (I took the Saison NZ which was bright and citrusy, medium bodied with a dry finish. Excellent!). We shared a plate of fries, wonderfully seasoned and ample size to share!

We went to grab some drinks undecided where to eat. When we arrived the waitress seated us at the bar, without asking us first or saying something about it, this made me ask her if she could give us a table in the future and her answer was: "I only have tables for 4 and I won't use them", which I can try to understand but the attitude was discouraging, during the time we spent there she never approached us to offer us a table when there were multiple available. We had two beers, which were fine, and we had the shrimp popcorn and devil egg as appetizers, they were fine, nothing surprising. The truth is that after that, we made the decision to look for another place to eat since in my opinion beer places with acceptable food can be found easily. I don't see the point of going to a place where you don't feel welcome, I think that's what makes special places stand out and make you want to go again and we didn't feel like that.

Great beer, atmosphere and great staff! Didn't have the pleasure to try their food but everything on the menu looked great!

You know what ruins the hype of wanting to try a new pub? When said pub owner does not take the time to update their opening hours on google Details: Hubby and I wanted to spoil ourselves after a stressful week and decided to come check the pub out. The pub's kitchen closes at 11pm on Wednesdays (as per their google page). We arrived yesterday ~10:10 and were told that the kitchen closed at 10 and that the pub was closing at 11. We shared our confusion with the waiter and his reply was that the pub has been closing at 11 for a few months Overall: I was feeling pretty excited to try this place as the reviews are decent but left I'm feeling quite disappointed by the experience, or lack thereof I guess I have attached a screenshot of their opening hours yesterday for your reference.

Came here with a friend to try out the food scene in Montreal. The ambiance: 10/10 the interior was very unique and well done, the decor was coordinated and interesting. Service: 10/10 although it was rather busy, the waiters helped us promptly and had a box to take the leftover food home in. They also spoke in English to me even though my friend could translate which was very nice of them. Food: 8.9/10 I got the burger which was good although fell apart after a few bites, the fries that came with the burger were excellent. I also got the hibiscus mock tail which was average.
