    Farmhouse Ale - Saison |
    5.5% Alcohol/Vol. |
    0 IBU (Trace Bitterness)
Saison Noir 5.5% alc.vol. Welcome to the dark season. With it getting darker earlier and earlier it’s only fitting for your beer to do the same. This Saison is diffrent from a lighter version you might be used to - with a spicy and more complex flavour profile. The earthy undertones and bitterness of the hops, along with peppery yeast phenols and dry finish, make this a must try for anyone who appreciates a Saison.

Don't let the lack of a fancy sign deter you for going in. I met 3 golf buddies here today Sat Sept 21. The selection of beer is amazing for people who don't like fruit flavored beer. The selection of dark beers is great and I tried 5 of them. I would have given 5 stars but there is no food service and being in my 60's I remember all pubs needed hot food to have a license. I did know ahead of time so brought a sandwich. The gentleman serving was great even though he doesn't golf. If you want to try a variety of tasty beers keep Omen in mind.

I've only had the honey-ginger-coconut-thing and it is something else! I had literally no clue what to expect and having tried and enjoyed it, went looking for other kinds. Sadly, there's only this one gluten free beer available, nothing traditional, so there's nothing else on offer that's safe for me. If that ever changes, sign me up to try whatever it is!

We had an impromptu stop here last night and we were not disappointed! The bartender was polite and knowledgeable, he was the only one there and he was well organized and speedy with the service. We had the option of being outside on the semi-covered patio with misting spray (nice for the heat) or inside. The drink options and prices were clearly listed and I would highly recommend the flat sampler for $9 to explore their variety (15 kinds of beers). They also offer Keg and can options for take home (very environmentally friendly). Unlike some small breweries in the area, I found this beer very palatable and none of our samples left me with a bitter taste. Beer is not my go-to drink, but I would happily have a pint from here just to enjoy the weather and support local. They also had a food truck out front (the Butchers son) who had the perfect pairing of German street food with the beer. Our drinks and food with 20% tip for two people came to $30 total. A great local place tucked in behind an industrial area, would highly recommend trying them out!

This is one of the best breweries in Edmonton, just a wee bit south of Whyte Ave and still within the Happy Beer Street area. Specializing in dark beers, they do it all though! The flight pictured includes their notable blueberry session which was outstanding and the half pint is their Red Harbour Irish red. Dog friendly patio and the space inside is beautiful.

We are back at our home base now that the west coast tour has ended and decided to explore our backyard brewery scene (again). Today we headed out to this little gem on the south side. Highly recommend the Spilt Milk Stout.nice and creamy ! See ya soon Omen Brewing.
