    Farmhouse Ale - Sahti |
    7% Alcohol/Vol. |
    5 IBU (Trace Bitterness)
This earthy brew has a rich malty backbone complimented with a hint of woody juniper gentle and a smooth finish. Fermented raw this ale strikes a unique balance between complexity and a approachability. Sahti is an ancient farmhouse beer style from Finland, and shares some similarities with the traditional beers of Norway, and other Scandinavian countries. The oldest physical recipe is dated to the medieval era, but there are mentions of the beer in oral tradition that would go back much further.

This brewery is one of my absolute favourites in the city and not enough people seem to know about it yet. I've literally never had a bad beer here (I recommend getting a flight so you don't miss out on anything), the food is crazy good, and the staff are super friendly. It's a little hard to find from the outside but it's right next to the Anytime Fitness so just look for the section in that building that doesn't have treadmills in the windows and go on in for a beer and a snack!

If you want a hygge experience with cool small batch beers that you can't pronounce the name of, and also eat delicious baked bread and enjoy the friendliest staff, come here. They also do Sunday brunch (it's great). Did I mention it's wheelchair accessible for both access to the space and washroom facilities? Well, it is! And I came here with a family member who required such amenities. You can also bring your kids (but I don't have those), and they have a stock of games in-house for entertaining both children and adults.

Every beer so good. Sunday brunch food was all thoughtfully put together with a lot of house-made ingredients. Super friendly and fun decor. Made a great bike destination close to glenmore reservoir pathway.

So far so good. The beers are excellent and the vibe and decor are great. I tried their 4 opening styles and they have all been great. The grissette was quite tasty and had a great level of funkyness. The Irish stout was creamy, rich, and surprisingly light. The Cherry sour was a real intriguing flavour of to style sour and tartness and a satisfying hint of complex spice in the background. The osmotahr sati stole the show however and was my fave of the bunch! Been a few times now and always awesome! The patio is great to bring the dog too and I really enjoyed some of the new beers they keep coming out with!

Beer was fun and fresh, loved the imperial porter and the sahti! Fresh bread and delicious food, definitely a little more expensive for food than some places but it's all fresh and local food! Very pleased with the overall experience and will be back!
