Pale Ale - New England / Hazy |
    6% Alcohol/Vol. |
    33 IBU (Subtle Bitterness)
We have jammed all the flavours and aromas we possibly could - and then some - into our Hazy Pale Ale. Red wheat and oats provide a soft, pillowy body and silky mouthfeel. With a maelstrom of tropical hop flavours and aromas from out-of-this-world dosing of new world hops - Simcoe, Citra and Mosaic - this hazy beer will fill your heart and saturate your senses. Malt: Pils, Golden Promise, Red Wheat, Oats Hops: Citra, Simcoe, Mosaic Yeast: Escarpment Foggy London

    60 IBU (Robust Bitterness)
Our take on the classic northwest American IPA shuns the heavy caramel and resin notes typically found in this style for something more refined and unique. Sunshine Rain has been brewed to be balanced, lively, fresh and dry, but doesn’t hold back with an aggressive dank and tropical hop punch. Hops: Pahto, Citra, Simcoe, Mosaic, Centennial, Loral Malt: CMC 2 Row, Red Shed Kananaskis, Carafoam, Crystal Light Yeast: Wyeast 1056 American Ale

Retrospectrum Pale Ale is easy enough to drink every day, yet complex enough to challenge your taste buds every time. Perfectly balanced with a complex malt body, our hop-forward take on the classic American Pale Ale is exploding with tropical fruit and citrus aromas and flavours, thanks to generous late additions of Citra and Amarillo hops. Hops: Pahto, Citra, Amarillo, Centennial Malt: CMC 2 Row, Wheat, Red Shed Rocky Mountain & Biscuit, Carafoam Yeast: Wyeast 1056 American Ale

    Pilsner - German |

    40 IBU (Gentle Bitterness)
Luminosity German Pils is the antidote to the year that was. It’s a delicious, easy-drinking lager crafted in the German brewing tradition - one defined by balance, quality ingredients and drinkability. We let the ingredients tell the story: 100% German Best Pils malt, a Weihenstephan yeast strain with light aromas and clean flavours and a duo of noble European hops (Hallertauer Mittelfruh and Czech Saaz) It’s crisp, dry and has long-lasting bready malt notes. You’ll notice delightful spicy and floral aromas and a low to medium bitterness that slowly builds as you drink. Hold it to the light and you’ll see the most glorious, gentle golden hue. You’ll want the luminous light to wash over you like a baptism of hope, but don’t linger too long – after all, this is a beer made for drinking. Malt: CMC Euro-Pils Hops: Pahto, Hallertauer Mittelfruh, Saaz Yeast: Fermentis W34/70

    45 IBU (Gentle Bitterness)
How saturated in aroma and flavour can one beer be? We found ourselves pondering that exact question with our good friends at Collective Craft Beer Shop and decided to find out. To build a big beer, you need wheat, lots of it. And oats, boatloads. Then all the pils malt and flaked barley you can get your hands on. But your beer can’t be totally saturated until you’ve overflown the kettle with as many hops as you can muster. For this beer, we used Yakima Chief's Cryo Pop Hop Blend, a hop medley of the most delicious sticky compounds, cryogenically frozen to extract all that concentrated lupulin - the aromatic stuff that makes Saturation beers smell so damned saturated. You’ll get mind-boggling notes of stone fruit, citrus and tropical fruit and as the name suggests, the aroma truly pops from the glass. And for an extra pop of colour, we opted for Summit Labels’ new fluorescent ink labels, which are vibrant during the day, but really come alive at night under a black light. We’re totally proud – and a little intimidated if we’re being honest – to present Total Saturation Triple NEIPA, our biggest, boldest, most aromatic and flavourful hazy beer to date. It’s a ten percenter that drinks like a sixer, with a texture as fluffy as cotton ball clouds and aromas that will waft over you for an eternity. How saturated in aroma and flavour can one beer be? The answer is Total Saturation.

English mild ale is a throwback to a more simple time where people knew who they voted for and why, saw work as a wage rather than a lifestyle, and who chose their beer like they supported their sports team - because it was what you did and it wasn’t worth fussing over. Simple Pleasures is what we drink to take life back a notch or two. There’s a ton of flavour for a light beer, with notes of light chocolate, biscuit, nuttiness, dried fruit – raisin, plum especially – and pours a delightful mahogany colour. No pretension. No gimmicks. Just a refreshing, flavourful malt-accented beer that is readily suited to drinking in quantity (and at just 3.8% it’s perfect for having a few).

    Stout - Imperial / Double |

    50 IBU (Robust Bitterness)
Say hello to Luna & Fuego’s little cousin… Just like our barrel-aged Luna & Fuego, we started with a whopping imperial stout with cocoa, cinnamon and vanilla, then spiked it with a trio of chilies – sweet ancho, tangy guajillo and smoky chipotle. We’ve transferred a bunch of this beer to tequila barrels for a long sleep (see you in winter Luna & Fuego V2!) but for now you are in good company with Fuego - it’s unoaked, unaged, all sorts of fun and ready to drink now. The beer pours a thick, viscous black. The vanilla and cinnamon lend notes of horchata, while the cocoa and chili marry to create a decadently sweet and lingering spicy flavour. Did we mention it’s smooth? Ridiculously so.

Ours is definitely a close-knit community, and this delightful collaboration pale ale proves it. Brewers from Cabin, Last Best Brewing and Bale Breaker Brewing in Yakima, WA who all worked together in Calgary once upon a time wanted to get together and brew one more beer. One quick hop across the border for hop harvest and the deal was sealed! Border Hop West Coast Pale Ale features the wonderfully aromatic experimental hop HBC 586 and “frozen fresh” Mosaic hops from Yakima Chief Hops. This oxymoronically named product sees raw, unkilned whole cone hops plucked from the bine and then flash frozen. This process helps retain the delicate nature of fresh hops, even for those hundreds of kilometres (miles for those south of the border…) from the hop fields. Expect bright notes of mango, nectarine, guava, lychee, and a hint of berry. This beer is great for sharing with your buds – but if you want some, you’d better hop to it. Like the hop harvest season, this beer is limited and will go quick.

Cold West Cold IPA is dry, hoppy, crisp & clean, cold fermented with lager yeast and dry hopped west coast-style with Simcoe, Citra, and Centennial. We used pilsner malt and flaked rice to give it that nice, light body *chef’s kiss*. Wait, so it’s a lager? But it’s also an IPA? And it is dry and crisp, but also fruity and hoppy? The answer is “yes!” to all those very pertinent questions, thanks for asking. And for your information, it is also deadly delicious! This is our second collaboration with our pals at Kilter Brewing in Winnipeg. They make killer beer and are wonderful people – we’re lucky to have them in our lives.

Some beer names just write themselves. When we chatted with the lovely folks at The Parkside Brewery out of Port Moody in BC about working on a beer together, we wanted to mash-up our two flagship hazy beers - Super Saturation (Cabin) and Dreamboat (Parkside) – and crank up the flavour and aroma a notch or two. Super Dreamy? That sounded like the perfect way to describe our vision! Super Dreamy Double Hazy IPA is a big luscious juice bomb that encapsulates everything we both love in our beers. The fluffy mouthfeel is right there from the first sip, it’s oozing with tropical fruit punch and citrus hop notes from the Centennial, Elani and Nectaron hops, and has a huge aroma and flavour that feels like it lingers foreverrrrrrr. It’s truly the stuff of super sweet dreams.

This Manchester mash-up is one for the books! In celebration of YYC Neighbour Day 2024. On June 15, the cuties at Cabin and Born collaborated on their FOURTH Neighbour Day beer, and by golly, by gosh, they’ve definitely cracked it this time. When two good things come together, they become something great. Super Cutie takes the very best of two flagship beers - Super Saturation Hazy Pale Ale by Cabin and Hi Cutie Raspberry & Mint Wheat Ale by Born. It’s hazy and bursting with tropical fruit notes, punctuated by the bright flavours and aromas of fresh raspberries and brought together with a rich, full-bodied wheat base.

A delicious beer at a beautiful place in a spectacular setting. Could you ask for more? For 31 years River Café has been showcasing the taste of Canada from Calgary’s cutest restaurant, nestled among nature in Calgary’s Prince’s Island Park. When the opportunity to work together on a beer came up, we jumped at the chance! Inspired by their fascination with seasonal ingredients, we looked to the garden and the fields for inspiration and came up with Park Life Gin Botanical What Ale, brewed with 10 different botanicals and a smattering of floral hops to round out the bouquet. Park Life is popping with spicy, herbal and floral aromas from the botanicals, while the wheat lends a bready aroma with a full-bodied flavour that lingers. At 5% ABV, it’s easy-drinking and a perfect accoutrement for picnics, patio lunches and sunset dinners.

It’s always darkest before the dawn. For International Women’s Day 2024, the women of Cabin joined forces with folks from Country Malt Group, Ale Architect Brewery and Bent Stick Brewing to brew something very tasty indeed. Daybreak Cascadian Dark Ale pours a gorgeous obsidian black. It boasts roasty notes of chocolate, coffee and biscuit from the specialty dark malts, and a delectable light toastiness from the lightly kilned base malt. The Pink Boots hop blend imparts a bright citrus and floral kick to balance the malt, culminating in an exquisite melange of aromas that showcase both hops, and malt, equally. With every glass raised, we toast to the woman who have faced the darkness head-on, who have fought for their voices to be heard, and who continue to inspire us all to shine brighter, even in the darkest of moments. From the women of Cabin (and friends) to you - cheers!

The wonderful peeps at Ol’ B have been through a lot recently, so we wanted to slow things down, dial things back a notch. and brew a throwback beer with them to remind us why we got into this industry in the first place. You see, six years ago, both Cabin and Ol‘ Beautiful were just getting started; two groups of beer-loving buddies diving headfirst into real life beer biz. So much has happened in six years, but one thing remains the same; we’re still here to make great beer, to share with friends, and create amazing memories. Glory Days West Coast ISA (4.4%) is an easy-drinking, non-pretentious session IPA that’s light and aromatic and ready for everyday drinking. There are pithy citrus notes, with a dank, resinous glow. It’s balanced with a medium-bodied malt profile and is oh-so drinkable. Simple. Clean. Delicious. There’ll always be ups and downs in this industry, but we hope one thing never changes; that we continue together as allies as we did in our formative years, and that great beer and friendship remains at the core of who we are, and what we do. $1 from every four pack and 50c per litre from keg sales goes to Ol‘Beautiful staff to help them navigate the tricky aftermath of the fire that destroyed their taproom. Friends helping friends; it’s the craft beer way.

Life’s too short to drink from the well. It’s Top Shelf or bust around here. Top Shelf Whiskey Sour Ale mimics that most delicious of cocktails, the whiskey sour. You could just do as the sailors did and squeeze some juice into a glass of booze and call it a scurvy tonic, but we like to think we’ve elevated this tipple to its perfect iteration – in the form of a beer that drinks like a cocktail. To achieve that, we took a tart lemon wheat ale with lactose and aged it over a year in oak barrels from Kentucky’s very first bourbon distiller - Evan Williams. Yes, there are faint whiffs of mahogany and leather (and maybe a hint of regret), but they are quickly subsumed by the lively, citrus-infused bright notes that bring this beer together into something amazing that is equal parts bright, sweet, tart and complex. Don’t forget to admire the wood grain labels made from real wood veneer, which means every single label is unique - just like you, you top shelf human you!

Certain occasions demand mugs of lager. More salubrious goings-on demand something with a little more pomp. Bust out the hoity-toity glassware friends, because we have a little treat for you. Pomp & Circumstance Baltic Porter (8.9%) is specially crafted to accompany all the finer moments that one gets to enjoy in life. Brewed with lager yeast as is the norm for this style, Pomp & Circumstance is dark, smooth and rich. It has a complex, toasty malt sweetness with notes of caramel, toffee and dried fruit, with hints of chocolate, dark berries and molasses. This right royal style – one Catherine the Great is said to have enjoyed – is perfect for slow sipping while grandly surveying your own glorious postage stamp-sized empire of one. Huzzah! Out of all the historic beer oddities, Alsatian Biére de Mars may be the quirkiest. Literally translated as March beer, this style has been around since the 14th century and was traditionally brewed in fall immediately after the hop harvest and fermented low and slow over the cold northern winters for release in spring. With influences from north-eastern France’s Alsace region (kinda French, kinda German) the style has been described as a mish-mash of Weissbier, Marzen and Biére de Garde, if your tastebuds can imagine that! Our interpretation - Mish Mash Alsatian Biére de Mars pours a brilliantly clear copper, with earthy and fruit-forward aromas of spruce, red berry fruits, light chocolate and the merest whisp of cherry-wood smoke. We used a Kolsch yeast to make it crisp and dry, and has a lingering bitterness that makes it wildly refreshing. It’s an intriguing blend of influences, styles, ingredients and lore, and we love it! Pair this beer with cassoulet, herbed roast chicken or simply with a chunk of crumbly aged cheese. We swear you won’t be sorry. To mark our fifth anniversary, we are proud to release a new instalment in our annual Chapter series of barrel-aged beers. For Chapter 5 we’ve aged our fruity and fun Bright & Early Belgian Golden Strong Ale in a mix of apple brandy and pinot grigio barrels. It’s fruit forward with big vinous white wine notes and complex pomme fruit esters. Balancing that tantalizing fruitiness is a full-bodied Belgian ale, which plays beautifully with moderate oak character from the barrels. Drink it now, but be sure to put at least one down to enjoy later – these beers are made to taste even better after a year or two!

The decor of this brewery is fantastic! It definitely lives up to the breweries name; and does not disappoint! The staff here bring a ton of excitement with them to their job, they honestly seem to be happy at work which adds to the incredibly fun atmosphere. The beer is exceptional, with my favorites being the light lime, by the lake, and pomp & circumstance. Did I mention they have slushies! With and without alcohol! They sell locally sourced snacks and on the weekend bring in food vendors. They try and support local as much as possible. Love this place!

Cabin brewing is definitely kid friendly as we've never seen so many babies and kids at the brewery (like a playground ), also dog friendly patio. They do non alcoholic beer and some small bites for snacking. They're many breweries around the neighborhood and this one is one of the best for sure!
