Somewhat of a hybrid between your classic American Amber and a California Common. The house Kolsch yeast was used to give this beer a crisp/refreshing finish. Pilsen malt gives it a meduim body, and dry hopped with Mt Hood variety provides classic hop character.

This Calgary brewery is a must for anyone who loves a good old-fashioned beer. It is the definition of a local brewery from the hops to the tap. The owner, Mark, is one of the most personable guys you'll meet. He loves talking beer and is engaged with everyone who comes in. The tap room is open and serves up a small menu with hot dogs being one of the items. If you want great tasting, good old-fashioned beer, this is the place.

Great beer and great new taproom! Been waiting for the taproom to open and finally try them out. Really nice space and owner. So far only tried the Kolsch and Hazy IPA, but both were solid beer with lots of flavour. Looking forward to the patio in the back.

Great beer, great taproom. Kolsch is great. Free popcorn is a plus, and the hot dogs were an added perk. The staff were very nice to us even though we rolled in 20 minutes before close on a Sunday.

Went to try out a different brewery today. Bonus was it is a new tap room which was very nice. Boiling Oar has been brewing for 8 years but only has had a taproom since March. Tried their blonde and their oatmeal porter, and both were first rate. Prices are super reasonable and for your non drinker they offer Coke or water for only $1. But what really made our afternoon was the lovely couple who run/own the brewery. They made my beer better with our conversation. We will definitely be spending more time there.
