We went to great lengths to bring you this killer autumn treat. Pumpkins were handpicked by our brew team from the depths of the path. A cornucopia of spices were added to them before roasting and then the sweet flesh—along with creamy milk sugar—went into this chocolate-hued porter. It’s like homemade pumpkin pie with whipped cream. But better, because it’s beer.

We made Gold Lagered Ale for those everyday moments worth celebrating. Crafted with specialty ale yeast, but carefully fermented like a lager, it has a smooth body and crisp finish. We gave our hop supplier a shakedown until they gave us the best hops they had. This is Alpha Bomb's little brother, so expect a big hop aroma coupled with a balanced malt body.

Big Boot Hefeweizen is an unfiltered German-style wheat beer that pours a gorgeous cloudy yellow. What follows next is like magic—smooth, refreshing bursts of clove, banana and mild spices by way of our speciality yeast. It’s like sunshine in a glass.

There is nothing wee about this Scotch Ale. The body is rich and smooth, with flavours that move from caramel to raisin to molasses. The hand-smoked malts give it a touch of peatiness that take it over the top. Slàinte!

Maibocks are a transitional beer—something to enjoy after hibernating during the winter and before shedding your clothes for the hot summer to come. We embraced that tradition with our Hoppin' Maibock. This amber lager features delicate layers of malts, and is dry-hopped with a New Zealand variety to introduce big, punchy tropical notes that will make you sing.

Feast your eyes on our Winter Seasonal! Busted Sled Gingerbread Stout is ripe with notes of ginger cinnamon and roasted coffee.

Bock Me Gently is a riff on a rare classic. We carefully crafted this bock using specialty yeast to create a clean, fresh palette. The result is a gorgeous copper-hued beer with rich maltiness and an incredible depth of ?avour. It will turn any evening into a celebration and keep you all warm and tender on a cold winter’s night.

Combines a copious amount of hops in the whirlpool and dry-hopping to create a beer with low bitterness and a sessionable ABV, but a bold aroma and flavour. A zesty and complex aroma leads into a bright flavour, finishing clean and with mild bitterness and a hint of malt sweetness.

A classic West Coast IPA with a modern twist. A moderate bitterness is complemented by malts that bring out a soft and slightly sweet, fruity grain character. This, paired with Pahto, Chinook, Simcoe, and Citra hops, pay homage to the classic West Coast IPA while also bringing a juicy element of tropical fruit. Slightly hazy, highly aromatic and flavourful, and very crushable.

You asked for it and we made it. We are finally combining the hops of Alpha Bomb and the refreshing genius of Bongo into ONE can of deliciousness that we call BONGO BOMB.

Brewed to be light, easy-drinking and refreshing. This lager pours with a dense and lasting pure-white foam, and is a bright straw yellow. Hints of malt, corn, flowers and hay can be pulled from the aroma, while the flavour adds a note of crack and sweet grain. Light in body with a soft carbonation, and a mild dry bitterness. Best enjoyed with a plate full of tacos!

An unexpectedly fun little tap room hidden inside a small industrial park in rural Kanata. Beware that they keep odd hours (open till 4pm Sat, closed Sun and open weekdays till 8pm). Otherwise I have visited the brewery on several Saturdays and had the entire place to myself sans barkeeper. Most of the bartenders are chatty and friendly. The brewery does have limited food options during weekdays which is popular with the local IT crowd. There are no food options on Saturday ... but dont be afraid to pick up a pizza and take it inside with you and enjoy a few beers with friends. The barkeepers wont mind. Big Rig has a good selection of craft beer options that range from fantastic to mediorcre. They have several beers on tap and tall boys and growlers to go.This place is popular with the local beer tours and I am surprise it isn't more well known in Kanata.

The staff is great here, as is the beer. It's a perfect choice to chill out after work.

AMAZING service! I've been going to their restaurant in Gloucester for a while and enjoy their Bongo radler, but I have family members from out of town that LOVE the Gold lagered ale. It was out of stock online when I looked last week so I emailed them and a rep responded very quickly to let me know when it would be back in stock. I made an order for local delivery and it was delivered the same day and the driver brought it up to my unit for me in a dolly since it would be too heavy for me. I'm very impressed with the friendly and fast service, and I'll make some people very happy for Christmas now!
